Forest and recreational park and also a beautiful view points, is located near a sacred entity to which belongs also the monastery Savina (church from the 13th century). Luxuriant flora is the reason why this park-forest, that covers an area of 35,46 ha, is known as “lungs of Herceg Novi”. Pine, cypress, oak, hornbeam, chestnut, bay leaf, butcher’s broom, ash, ivy, berries, mushrooms, figs, pomegranates are just some examples of the flora that grows Forest Savina. As an area of outstanding features , since 1968 it is in category III – protected important natural resource, and in IUCN categorization it has a status V as protected land-sea area.
At only 100m from the beach, walking through winding forest trails, you will come across on pedestrian, cobbled roads, leading to the gazebo in front of which are revealed generously beauties of the entrance to the Boka Bay.
